Englischer Kurzinhalt von 2012timeforchange.com:
"2012: Time for Change" projects a radical alternative to apocalyptic doom and gloom. Directed by Emmy Award nominee Joao Amorim, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck, author of the bestselling 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolution, we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all. Rather than breakdown and barbarism, 2012 will herald the birth of a regenerative planetary culture, where collaboration replaces competition, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink.
Interviews with design scientists, anthropologists, physicists such as Dean Radin, Barbara Marx Hubbard, John Todd and Paul Stamets and celebrities such as Sting, Ellen Page and Gilberto Gil.
Englische Zusammenfassung von mangustaproductions.com:
A documentary feature, 2012 Time for Change presents ways to rapidly transform our unsustainable society into a regenerative planetary culture through a change of consciousness and the systemic implementation of ecological design. The film follows the investigations of Daniel Pinchbeck, bestselling author of 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl. His conversations with contemporary thinkers and visionaries are interwoven with animated sequences to form the spine of the narrative.
The film has a three-part structure. In the first section, we show Daniel’s spiritual awakening through participating in the ceremonies of tribal shamans in Africa and South America. Those experiences drove him to study the Mayan Calendar, which ends portentously in 2012. We then look at the current state of the world in the light of indigenous prophecies, and propose that meaningful change requires a personal shift in consciousness as well as a transformation of our global culture.
The second section focuses on different means to undergo personal initiation and awakening, emphasizing that a change of consciousness can lead to a deeper sense of responsibility for the fate of the earth. In the third section, we present a number of pragmatic projects and techniques that could transform society quickly. We suggest a new creative paradigm of psychic evolution and practical action, matching prophecies that foresee humanity emerging into a “fifth world” of conscious evolution and cooperation.
