Englischer Serien-Inhalt:
Glenn Martin, DDS follows the adventures of a dentist, Glenn Martin, and his family as they leave suburbia behind and embark on a cross-country adventure in their toothbrush-topped dental mobile. After learning that his favorite childhood park is about to be destroyed, Glenn takes his family on a road trip to protest the demolition. Although the protest is ultimately a bust, Glenn and his wife, Jackie, realize that the trip brought their family closer together, and they decide to keep on travelling. Along with their two children – hormone addled, thirteen-year-old, Conor, and power-suit-wearing eleven-year-old Courtney – Courtney’s overachieving assistant, Wendy, and the family dog, Canine, Glenn discovers that “hitting the road” has more twists and turns than he bargained for. And he and his family learn through various run-ins (with mobsters, the Amish, psychotic navigators, etc.) that the road often hits back in unexpected and hilarious ways.
Glenn Martin, DDS is the first show to come out of Michael Eisner’s production company, Tornante. The show’s unique look of stop-motion animation comes from Eric Fogel, creator of the MTV series Celebrity Death Match; the dynamic writing is overseen by Michael Jamin and Sivert Glarum, veterans of such shows as King of the Hill and Just Shoot Me. For the past four decades, Eisner has been a leader in the American entertainment industry and has a stellar track record from his time at ABC, working on classic hits like Happy Days and Barney Miller, as President of Paramount Pictures producing blockbusters like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Saturday Night Fever and during his 21 years at the helm of the Walt Disney Company.
